Coach Wilson is entering his second year at Oconee County and will be serving as the running backs coach for the Warriors this season. Prior to coming to Oconee, Coach Wilson taught social studies at Newton High School for five years where he also served as varsity running backs coach from 2013-2016, the 9th grade offensive coordinator in 2015, JV head coach in 2016, and co-offensive coordinator/run game coordinator in 2016. Before his time at Newton, he taught one year of social studies at Central Gwinnett High School and was an assistant at Prince Avenue in the fall of 2009 during his senior year at the University of Georgia. Coach Wilson is an alum of the University of Georgia, graduating with a degree in history in 2010. After finishing his undergraduate degree, he continued his education at Piedmont College with an MAT in history education and a specialist degree in instructional technology from the University of West Georgia. He is married to Ashley Wilson of Social Circle and will be serving as the media specialist at Oconee County High.
